Following the success of last year’s holiday service project, members of the Zieggy Tribe are opting to help those less fortunate again this year! The service project events will coincide with each plant’s company meeting held at the end of the year. Each location will help a different charity organization.

Wheeling’s efforts will benefit weServeEats, an organization that coordinates the creation of individualized meal packs. Each meal in the pack provides 70% of the nutrition needs for a child for an entire day. Plus, the Wheeling tribe will create hygiene kits to benefit those affected by natural disasters.

Denver employees will be making 80 blankets and donating them to A Precious Child. The organization provides opportunities and resources to children in need to help them overcome obstacles related to education, poverty, crime, and wellness. All donations are expected to help children in the greater Denver area.

The service project in Chino will benefit an organization called Steven’s Hope for Children. The employees will make holiday gift boxes for children who are seriously ill or injured, and staying in hospitals in southern California.

Breanna Humphries, who works primarily out of the Wheeling location, is organizing the service projects at all Ziegenfelder plants. She estimates at least 1,200 families will benefit from the volunteerism at all three Ziegenfelder locations.

“I’ve had people ask me all year about when we’re going to do another service project,” said Breanna. “It means they’re excited to have an opportunity to help other people. Everyone wants to do what they can to help others.”

The Ziegenfelder Company always wants to support projects that help others. Please email Kelly Greathouse in the marketing department kgreathouse@twinpops.com to suggest a service project or organization to support. You can also submit recommendations to the main office at each Ziegenfelder plant.
