Director of People & Culture

Production Staff

Ziegenfelder Production Staff are responsible for:

  • Placing sealed individual units in packaging and ensuring proper package sealing.
  • Repackaging improperly sealed, or coded, product.
  • Disposing of scrap product and raw materials.
  • Keeping work area clean.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Food Service/Production Experience
  • High School/GED

Physical Abilities:

  • Standing up to 12 hours per day.
  • Moving and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Bending, twisting, reaching and grasping actions.
  • Good spatial awareness working around manufacturing equipment.

Quality Assurance Technician

A Ziegenfelder Quality Technician is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that finished Ziegenfelder treats are ready for delivery to customers by properly preparing raw material inputs, monitoring production processes, and inspecting final products.
  • Analyzing and documenting quality assurance processes and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Conducting production support to include mix making, equipment cleaning, product quality testing/sampling, and completion of the master sanitation schedule tasks.
  • Verifying finished product meets quality standards of color, taste, quantity, wrap, and Rainbow Array.
  • Follow HACCP, GMP, SOP, and SSOP programs and coordinating all documentation to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and Ziegenfelder directives, policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular audits of documentation to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and Ziegenfelder directives, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Education, experience and training with Food Safety, HACCP, SQF, Sanitation (SSOP & GMP) and/or other food safety systems and Quality Assurance process improvement skills required.  SQF certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred. 

Physical Abilities:

  • Moving and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Maintenance Technician

A Ziegenfelder Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and small ancillary equipment.
  • Checking and maintaining proper fluid levels for various pieces of equipment.
  • Perform overhauls on equipment and new equipment installation.
  • Performs maintenance tasks such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC’s) and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of packing and production equipment.
  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in mechanical related field or 1 year of experience in the maintenance field.
  • Ability to repair conveyor systems, to use a multimeter, to troubleshoot heat controls.
  • Experience in the food industry and experience working with ammonia refrigeration.

Physical Abilities:

  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds in weight, from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
  • Ability to wear a NIOSH approved cartridge respirator and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA.).
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.

Executive Assistant

A Ziegenfelder Executive Assistant is responsible for:

  • Working closely with and supporting Ziegenfelder’s Chief Executive and other executive leaders.
  • Managing calendars, scheduling meetings and appointments and managing travel itineraries.
  • Attending meetings, creating and collecting agenda items and taking minutes.
  • Noting commitments made by leadership during meetings and arranging for implementation.
  • Planning and organizing business meetings and department events, including logistical support.
  • Anticipating actions and needs on behalf of CEO and executive leadership, and executing accordingly.
  • Organizing office operations and procedures.
  • Other administrative and supportive responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative role, reporting directly to senior management.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or requisite experience in lieu of education.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills and ability to become familiar with new programs and software.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel formulas, charts and graphs to represent information, and to create presentations in Powerpoint.
  • Polished communication skills; proven ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • High attention to detail and proactive mindset.
  • Travel as needed (up to 10%).
