Open Positions:

Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

The Ziegenfelder Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for:

  • Ensure an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to strategic objectives.
  • Spearhead the implementation and optimization of the corporate forecasting tool and integration with an interactive dashboard platform such as Power BI.
  • Perform in depth financial analysis, build strategic models, and develop fact based recommendations to help the leadership team make informed business decisions.
  • Drive alignment and consistency within the business areas including, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Marketing and P&C. Partner with understand needs and provide tools and processes they can leverage.
  • Gauge the company’s overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios such as the debt to equity ratio, current ratio, and interest coverage ratio.
  • Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department, in light of what percentage of the company’s financial resources each department consumes.
  • Prepare internal reports for executive leadership and supporting their decision making.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations.
  • Compare historical results against budgets and forecasts, and perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward.
  • Lead and support any ad hoc financial analysis, modeling, and analytical support.
  • Forecasting analysis for customer modeling and business development to support company growth.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressively complex roles with financial planning and analysis experience/understanding.
  • Demonstrated sound analytical depth and strong technical capability in finance and scenario modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience building and developing a team and individuals.
  • Ability to work in a rigorous environment where priorities can change quickly; strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Production Staff

Ziegenfelder Production Staff are responsible for:

  • Placing sealed individual units in packaging and ensuring proper package sealing.
  • Repackaging improperly sealed, or coded, product.
  • Disposing of scrap product and raw materials.

Maintenance Technician

A Ziegenfelder Maintenance Technician is responsible for:

  • Ensuring production equipment is set up and maintained to produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers.
  • Preparing and configuring machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC’s), and hydraulic systems and providing immediate corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and ancillary production equipment.
  • Checking and maintaining proper fluid levels in various pieces of equipment.
  • Performing overhauls of existing production equipment.
  • Maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration equipment.
  • Installing new production equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Complying with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • This position is responsible for the food safety of our products

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance ideally in a food environment
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration.

Freezer Technician

A Ziegenfelder Freezer Technician is responsible for:

  • Pulling finished products from the production conveyor belt and stacking on pallets properly.
  • Checking all products to ensure proper coding.
  • Ensuring proper amount of product is neatly stacked on pallets and all boxes on the pallet meet quality standards.
  • Wrapping palletized product with plastic stretch wrap.
  • Ensuring proper tags are printed and posted on all palletized products.
  • Ensuring that inventory is properly entered in appropriate inventory tracking systems.
  • Ensuring all palletized product is properly located in warehouse for picking.
  • Picking palletized product for shipping.
  • Communicating with operations to ensure correct amount of raw materials are readily available for each shift.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 - 3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate electric powered forklifts and electric powered pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to work in cold temperatures.
  • Must be available to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.

Physical Abilities:

Maintenance Manager

A Ziegenfelder Maintenance Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing and leading all Maintenance Technicians at a Ziegenfelder manufacturing location.
  • Utilizing our CMMS system to plan for predictive and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Facilitating proactive interaction with all internal departments, to ensure proactive maintenance activity.
  • Leading creation and implementation of Preventative Maintenance Program for the company.
  • Ensuring production equipment is set up and maintained to produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC’s), and hydraulic systems and providing immediate corrective maintenance support to production lines, conveyor belts, and ancillary production equipment.
  • Leading annual vital line rebuild and other projects as required.
  • Preforming overhauls of existing production equipment, maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration equipment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in a food environment.
  • Electrical experience and experience in industrial control systems required.
  • 5-10 years of management/leadership experience in a Maintenance role required.
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.

Plant Engineer

The Ziegenfelder Plant Engineer is responsible for:

  • Coordinate and direct projects with detailed plans to accomplish goals and oversee the integration of technical and mechanical activities.
  • Plan and lead the installation, testing, operation, preventative maintenance, maintenance and repair of production, auxiliary, and overall facility equipment to create a streamlined and effective process.
  • Provide guidance and inspire the work of our maintenance tribe, collaborating closely on the training and development of maintenance staff competencies.
  • Develop, document and implement policies, standards and procedures for the preventative maintenance, engineering and technical work performed.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, and making decisions regarding purchases of materials or services.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of design engineering
  • Experience with large manufacturing equipment, preferably in the food and beverage industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / assignments simultaneously
  • Skilled in team building and demonstrated experience in effectively working with cross functional teams to get positive results

Talent Acquisition Coordinator

The Ziegenfelder Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Support Talent Acquisition initiatives and identify recommendations to continuously improve the recruitment processes and the tools used to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Collaborate with recruiters to provide support as needed with candidates, hiring managers, interview teams to ensure the best candidate experience. 
  • Schedule and coordinate the following: interviews, hiring discussions, travel arrangements, background checks, drug/physical testing, reference checks, assessments and follow up with candidates as needed. 
  • Partner with People & Culture Tribe members to facilitate orientation and new hire process, onboarding process and an amazing candidate, new hire and employee experience. 
  • Support multi-site recruiting efforts by working with Talent Acquisition, hiring teams and candidates remotely (email, phone, video) and in person. 
  • Support Plant Operations staffing efforts to ensure shifts are fully staffed with the right people. 
  • Maintain consistent attention to detail driving administrative tasks to completion with both speed and accuracy - update candidate statuses, spreadsheets, expense reimbursements, etc. and ensure process driven workflow. 
  • Coordinate and attend career fairs as well as company events. 
  • Support university recruiting and other talent sourcing efforts. 
  • Work closely with TA team and external agencies in support of hiring temporary workers. 
  • Generate reporting for talent acquisition metrics. 
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities to help out in any other areas as needed.

Learning & Development Manager

The Ziegenfelder Learning & Development Manager is responsible for:

  • Work closely with People & Culture, Functional Subject Matter Experts and Business leadership to design, develop, implement, standardize and maintain our Learning & Development program and processes including building out systems and tools. • Design, implement and track training modules/learning plans using an LMS (learning management system). 
  • Further optimize our onboarding experience for new hires. 
  • Design and develop a comprehensive training plan for curriculum addressing business and mission critical compliance, operational and leadership matters. 
  • Serve as the strategy lead for performance capability initiatives such as competency modelling, development planning, coaching and feedback as related to training. 
  • Develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of learning methods including instructional design, classroom (physical/virtual) training, digital learning and technology to create and deliver training solutions that translate complex business, process or technological concepts into easy-to-understand course materials and job aids. 
  • Identify, develop and manage relationships with outside vendors, schools, and other service providers to support program design, development and/or delivery as required. 
  • Develop processes for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of training programs. 
  • Identify areas for improvement and seek self-development opportunities and continuous feedback.

  • Managing internal lab functions including: microbial samples, document completion & control, comparing internal laboratory results with outside laboratory results, and dairy product release / hold management.

Operations Manager

The Ziegenfelder Operations Manager is responsible for:

  • Accomplishing manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, developing, enhancing training; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies, and procedures. 
  • Coordinating materials, maintenance, changeovers, and staffing on the production lines to achieve production goals, ensure safe and efficient production lines, and produce quality Ziegenfelder treats ready for delivery to customers. 
  • Monitoring quality data and coordinating with Quality Tribe to ensure appropriate production of Ziegenfelder treats. 
  • Coordinating preventive and corrective procedures with Maintenance Tribe to keep production lines running efficiently. 
  • Working with Plant Director to ensure Team Leaders have the leadership skills and abilities necessary to lead production teams to success. 
  • Driving accountability for successful production training, and development for all plant employees. Supporting a culture of continuous learning and development for successful personal and professional outcomes. 
  • Investigating safety incidents and accidents and ensuring appropriate reporting and documentation. 
  • Coordinating with the People & Culture Tribe to ensure appropriate staffing levels, personnel issue resolution, performance engagement, career pathing and overall Tribe member success. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 5+ years of general experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing. 
  • Proven experience with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures. 
  • Adaptable with a drive for accuracy and learning. 
  • Ability to be on call and available after business hours.
