We do not use any of the top 8 allergens in any of our production facilities. Our plants only make water ice products. Our primary ingredients are water and sugar.

What does “Produced with Genetic Engineering” mean?

Sometimes farmers use seeds specifically designed to produce the biggest crops. Corn and beets are two of the most commonly genetically engineered crops, and they are also our two main sources of sugar. The state of Vermont recently passed a law that requires us to put this label on our packaging, but rest assured knowing that the FDA says that genetically engineered foods are completely safe for human consumption! Nothing has changed and they’re still the same great pops you’re used to! You can read more about genetically engineered ingredients here.

What is modified food starch?

It is derived from corn and used as a stabilizer in our pops. It also does not contain gluten.

Why are we unable to get an all single flavor bag like Banana?

Banana is our #1 flavor, it is our only flavor to appear in 3 different twin pop bags! Unfortunately, our #2 flavor doesn't rank as high on the list. We are also at the mercy of our retailers as to which items we can add. In the end it boils down to you, the consumer, to continue to request your favorite flavor in a stand alone bag with us as well as your preferred grocery store.

What is sugar alcohol that is listed on the Budget Saver Sugar Free bags?

Sugar alcohols occur naturally in plant foods in small amounts, such as berries and fruits. Common names for sugar alcohols are soribtol, xylitol, mannitol, lactitol, isomalt, maltitol, and hydrogenated starch hydrolysates (HSH). Sugar alcohols are used to sweeten diet foods. They are not a sugar nor an alcohol. Sugar alcohol is a carbohydrate, so if you are monitoring carbohydrates, remember to count grams of sugar alcohol on the package.

Why don't I receive coupons in the mail anymore?

In order to keep your favorite treats at the most affordable price possible we had to make some adjustments in our operations. Unfortunately we had to move away from physical coupons with the increasing cost of postage, printing and a fast growing fan base! Follow us on our social channels where we occasionally give coupons away.
